FROM SEED TO MOSAIC… May 13, 2014

Do seed and mosaic have anything in common? Maybe too far apart when you first look at it, nevertheless there is an existing concept using the seeds for mosaic.

ivory seed The seeds of an Amazonian palm tree called Tagua are harvested by hand every year. Then they are cut and placed on a net to become a floor and a wall covering product looking like mosaic.

This natural material also called vegetal ivory is renewable, organic and eco friendly. It is as light as wood and as strong as stone. 2m² of “Ivory dream” can save 1m² of the Amazonian forest.

Suitable for floor and wall, flat and curve surfaces, the collection offers a large range of shapes and design in 2 different colours: off white and toasted brown. (yes, they toast the seeds!)

Veins, nuances, and light streaks make it an lively product. The manual processing of each mosaic piece, both in transformation and installation phases, gives it a warm and sophisticated aspect, respectful for nature.

Ivory dream is produced and patented by Eprom and exclusively distributed by Benetti Stone.
